Philippine road projects often require thermoplastic paint under DPWH DO 103, Series of 2013, aligned with AASHTO M249-12.

Main requirements:

• Pigment + resin + fillers + glass beads
• White / yellow color
• Glass bead refractive index ≥ 1.50
• Glass bead roundness ≥ 90%
• Heating temperature: 180°C–220°C
• Fast drying, usually within 3 minutes
• Minimum 2-year service life under normal conditions

In the Philippines, road markings face tropical sunlight, sudden heavy rains, humid air and continuous vehicle abrasion. MATESTAR thermoplastic paint is heated into a molten material and applied as a thick marking layer, helping it lock firmly into the road surface as it cools.

With properly applied glass beads, the marking reflects vehicle headlights at night and improves visibility during rain or low-light conditions. It is suitable for highways, city roads, crosswalks, parking lots, industrial parks, ports and public road maintenance projects.
