Classification by Machine Carrier:

Vehicle-mounted road marking machine: A ride-on type, with the machinery mounted at the front and rear of the vehicle. Used for large-scale projects and long-distance construction marking. Operators need driving skills. Saves time and effort.

 

Self-service road marking machine: Hand-driven type. The machine has its own drive mechanism and moves independently without manual assistance. Used for medium to large-scale projects and short-distance construction where vehicle-mounted operation is inconvenient. Flexible and easy to operate.

 

Hand-push road marking machine: Hand-assisted type. Requires manual pushing and pulling of the wheeled mechanism. Used for small-scale projects and short-distance construction. Convenient and flexible operation.

 

Hot-Melt Road Marking Machines: These machines have gradually developed and improved with the development of hot-melt paint. They are highly automated machines. Construction requires a set of several machines to complete each stage of the process, from melting the material to marking the road surface. The basic configuration typically consists of a hot-melt autoclave, a marking machine (including zebra crossing marking machines), a pre-marking machine, and an applicator. Of course, users can choose different models, grades, and functions based on their financial resources, project size, and level of specialization. Hot-melt marking machines can be further divided into three types based on their marking methods: hot-melt scraping type, hot-melt extrusion type, and hot-melt spraying type.

 

Normal temperature road marking machines: Normal temperature road marking is the oldest type of conventional road marking. This type of marking can generally be completed by a single normal temperature road marking machine. Normal temperature road marking machines can be divided into two types according to their marking methods: high-pressure airless type and low-pressure air-assisted type; and according to the type of paint used, they can be divided into three types: normal temperature flux type, normal temperature water-based type, and heated solvent type (in a broader sense, normal temperature road marking machinery also includes two-component types, especially two-component spraying type, which is a broad-spectrum road marking machine that combines the functions of conventional normal temperature paint and two-component paint spraying).

 

Two-component road marking machine: Two-component road markings are a high-end type of road marking that has emerged in recent years. Unlike hot-melt road markings and room-temperature road markings, which rely on physical drying methods such as temperature drop or solvent (water-based) evaporation to form a film, two-component road markings are a new type of road marking that forms a film through internal chemical cross-linking. Two-component road marking machines used for applying two-component road markings are further divided into three types according to the type of paint they apply and the appearance of the lines they create: slick-coating type, scraping-applying type, and high-pressure airless spraying type.
