Road markings are a crucial component of traffic infrastructure, directly impacting driving safety and road traffic efficiency. Traditional hot-melt marking methods suffer from high energy consumption, significant pollution, and long construction cycles. In recent years, the application of cold-applied marking technology has provided a new solution for road marking construction.

Cold-applied marking technology utilizes ambient temperature application, relying primarily on chemical cross-linking reactions to achieve material curing. Its core material is a modified acrylic resin or polyurethane system, combined with wear-resistant aggregates and reflective glass beads. Compared to traditional hot-melt materials, cold-applied materials do not require heating to 180-220℃; instead, the polymerization reaction is initiated directly at an ambient temperature of 5-40℃ by a catalyst. This curing method avoids damage to asphalt pavements caused by high-temperature heating and reduces energy consumption by approximately 60%.

Significant Environmental Characteristics: Cold-applied materials contain no solvents, reducing volatile organic compound emissions by more than 80% compared to hot-melt processes. No black smoke or odor is generated during construction, minimizing the impact on the health of construction workers and the surrounding environment.

Increased construction efficiency: Eliminating material melting time, daily construction volume can reach 1.5 times that of traditional methods. The material is ready to use immediately after application, allowing traffic to resume within 30-120 minutes after marking, making it particularly suitable for nighttime construction needs on urban roads.

High adaptability: It adheres well to various substrates such as cement concrete, asphalt pavement, and epoxy flooring. Normal construction can be carried out in environments above 5℃, extending the reliable and effective construction period.

Extended service life: The high-quality cold-applied material has an abrasion resistance coefficient of over 45mg. When used with reflective glass beads, the retroreflectivity of the markings can remain above 300mcd·m⁻²·lx⁻¹ for up to 24 months.
