Reflectorized Thermoplastic Pavement Marking is a specialized traffic marking material, with glass beads as its core component to deliver excellent retroreflective performance. Optimized from ordinary thermoplastic paints, it ensures high visibility in adverse lighting conditions like night and rain, effectively enhancing road safety.
Applied by heating to a molten state (180°C-220°C) and spreading on cleaned pavement, it forms a wear-resistant, tightly bonded film that locks glass beads stably, maintaining long-term reflective efficiency.
Widely used for high-visibility road markings (lane dividers, zebra crossings, etc.), it is especially suitable for high-traffic sections such as highways and intersections, combining durability and reflective performance for long-term use.

Main Uses Of Reflectorized Thermoplastic Pavement Marking



Reflectorized Thermoplastic Pavement Marking is developed as a hot-applied road marking material in which visibility performance is integrated into the coating system itself. Instead of functioning only as a surface layer, it forms a structured marking body after application, combining binder matrix, mineral fillers, pigments, and optical components into a unified system. The reflective capability is achieved through the interaction between the coating surface and embedded light-responsive elements, allowing the marking to return incident light toward the driver while maintaining mechanical integrity on asphalt and concrete pavements.
From a technical perspective, the material is designed to operate within a controlled thermal range, ensuring consistent flow during application and stable solidification without degradation. Its bonding mechanism relies on both mechanical interlocking with the pavement texture and cohesive strength within the material, enabling resistance to shear stress and repeated vehicle loading. The optical performance depends on the exposure and distribution of reflective elements within the marking layer, which directly influences retroreflectivity under night-time conditions. At the same time, the overall formulation supports resistance to abrasion, deformation, and environmental aging, making thermoplastic reflective paint suitable for road sections where both visibility retention and structural durability are required over extended service periods.
